 Susan Brock, IRISPrior to establishing her company, SPACES REDEFINED, INC in 2004, Susan worked in the family retail furniture company. She spent 15 years helping to transform a small, independent furniture store into a much larger, multifaceted enterprise. While working in retail, Susan served primarily as the showroom display designer and the chief furniture/accessories buyer. Susan’s natural talents and skills blossomed in these capacities, but it was her work with store clients that influenced her finding her true passion – REDESIGN. “Over the years, I found that the majority of store customers could have benefited greatly from redesign. Most people struggle with making furnishing purchases because they are not using their existing home interiors to their best advantage. In other words, how can you know what you need to buy if your current furnishings are not placed appropriately?" Slowly Susan began to assist her customers in their homes – BEFORE the purchase. Without exception this led the customer to make much wiser purchases, often times buying for an entirely different area of the house! In some instances, no purchase was needed at all. Susan found this new work extremely satisfying. She was doing what she loved and helping people to achieve a new level of comfort and satisfaction in their home environment. In 2006, Susan made the decision to leave the retail environment and work with Spaces Redefined full time. She says, “I feel so fortunate to have a job which centers around making people happy at the end of the day!” Susan lives with her family in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. Her primary work area extends from Tallahassee to Destin Florida. Susan is a certified Interior Redesign Industry Specialist (IRIS), a Dewey Color Consultant (DCC), and a Certified Interior Staging Specialist (CISS). She is currently working to become an instructor in the redesign industry. |
